Treatment with hyaluronidase is generally well tolerated. Thanks to fine needles and precise injections, most patients feel a slight burning sensation or a short prick, if at all. Ultrasound monitoring increases safety and minimises possible discomfort.
A typical session only takes a few minutes. The preparation, including counselling, information and ultrasound control, takes a little more time. In total, you should allow around 60 minutes for your first appointment to ensure precision and safety at all times.
The effect is usually visible within a few hours to days. The hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down so that the treated area gradually appears more harmonised and even.

We start by discussing your requirements, the desired dissolution and the right amount of hylase in a consultation.
The existing hyaluronic acid is precisely localised using ultrasound. The enzyme is then injected at 100 % with ultrasound guidance using a fine needle.
After a few hours to days, the body breaks down the hyaluronic acid. The region can appear more harmonious, balanced and natural.
Hardly any other area requires as much sensitivity as the lips. They react sensitively, are heavily supplied with blood and are constantly moving. An inappropriate hyaluronic acid treatment can quickly lead to visible irregularities - from too much volume to small, palpable nodules.
Hylase treatment of the lips is used to gently correct such effects. The enzyme is very finely dosed in order to dissolve excess or unevenly distributed hyaluronic acid in a targeted manner. The great advantage: ultrasound-assisted control allows us to see exactly where the material is located. The result is not an „erasure“, but an aesthetic readjustment. The aim is for the lips to look soft, harmonious and natural again - not smaller, but simply like your own again.
Surgeon Jair Mauricio Cerón Bohórquez and his team take a particularly cautious approach. Each Hylase treatment is planned individually in order to maintain a balance between dissolution and preservation.
Directly after the Hylase treatment the area may be slightly reddened or a little swollen - both are normal reactions. Slight cooling helps to soothe the skin. However, you should avoid sauna, sport and intensive sun exposure for around 48 hours.
Important: Hylase is injected precisely and exclusively into the injected foreign hyaluronan, so that undesirable side effects can be significantly reduced. A few days later, we will carry out a medical check-up with you if necessary. Here we check how much the hyaluron has been broken down and whether a further session may be necessary.
We cannot yet say whether further Hylase treatment is then necessary, as this depends on several factors and the initial findings. Sometimes a single session is enough to achieve the desired result. If the filler product used was very heavily cross-linked or deeply embedded, a second, third or fourth treatment may be advisable.
