Before hair therapy, you should ensure that you do not take any blood thinners such as aspirin or other medications that thin the blood and can lead to an increased tendency to bleed. As a rule, these medications should be discontinued at least 10 days before the treatment. Alcoholic drinks should also not be consumed, as this can also thin the blood.

After treatment, it is important to avoid direct sunlight for at least a week (and apply sunscreen daily) or wear a head covering. The sensitive scalp can be irritated by UV rays, which can affect the healing and the result of the treatment. It is also advisable to avoid physical activity and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment.

Hair therapy is an effective method of stimulating hair growth, reducing hair loss and thickening the hair. A special feature of this treatment is that it can be repeated as often as required to maintain the result. As a rule, three to six sessions are recommended as a build-up treatment at four-week intervals in order to achieve optimum results. An annual refresher treatment is recommended to maintain the results of the hair therapy. However, the frequency of treatment can vary depending on individual needs and goals. Our experienced doctors and therapists will work with you to create the best treatment plan to achieve the desired result. The final result of hair therapy can usually be seen four to six weeks after the last treatment has been completed. Newly transplanted hair can and should also be treated with hair therapy. The treatment creates an optimal nutrient medium for the transplanted hair and maximises the success of the transplant. As with all medical treatments, side effects can also occur with hair therapy. After treatment, there may be significant reddening of the treated areas and slight swelling, which usually subsides within approx. 3 days. To minimise these side effects and promote healing, we recommend the use of PRF. It is also possible that small haematomas or bruising may occur as a result of the injections. However, this is rare and can be easily treated if necessary. Pain and redness may also occur but is usually mild and can be minimised by following the aftercare instructions. It is important to note that there is some risk associated with the use of needles or cannulas with any injection. During your consultation at Medical Contour, we will discuss potential risks and complications with you in detail to ensure you are well informed and achieve the best possible results. Our experienced doctors and therapists are specially trained to minimise potential side effects and ensure that you receive a safe and effective treatment. We only use high-quality products and state-of-the-art technology to ensure that you receive the best possible treatment.
